Christ UMC is collecting donations to help the people of Ukraine by directly supporting members of the dance troupe from Ukraine that performed at CUMC, most recently in 2019, and through humanitarian assistance through UMCOR.
The support from Christ UMC to the Ukraine Dancers is through their leader, Dmitry, who lives in Dnipro. Dmitry arranges the funds we transfer directly to him to go to families and individuals in urgent need. If you would like to contribute to the Ukraine Dancer Assistance, click on the button below or mail a check to CUMC with Ukraine Dancer Assistance in the memo line.

How our help has impacted their lives.

Having received help, Ekaterina (Nastya's mother) lost the power of speech and, with difficulty holding back tears, listened to my explanations about where and how the help came from... She was very grateful and blessed those whom the Lord disposed to do such a thing! "He (Denis) asked with a tremble in his voice: "Can this be? ... This is something incredible. Please convey my gratitude ... I will thank God for this..."" |
"...the help was incredibly timely and really needed. She (Olga, Polina's mother) is very grateful to everyone who participated in this good deed. Then Alexander (Polina's father) called and thanked for a long time. He said: “Well, it’s necessary, the Lord saw our need and sent us help! Thank the Lord for this! And of course to our American friends! Please convey our sincere gratitude to them!”" "Thank you VERY much. As they say, in one Great Book: "by your deeds - I recognize you ..." and then she (Tatyana - mother of Artyom, Nazar, and David) thanked everyone very much for such a good deed." |
